About Bradley

I’m Bradley Pleavin, the Founder and President of Bradley Legal. My practice is solely dedicated to pursuing claims on behalf of individuals who have had disability claims wrongly or unfairly denied.  

Bradley Legal is the start of a new initiative. We strive to provide a select group of clients dedicated and personalized legal services to serve you better. We maintain a small case load so we can provide a big impact. Because of this, we ensure your claim gets the attention and focus it deserves.

My pathway to working in disability law was neither direct nor planned. Following law school, I moved to Toronto, after accepting an articling position at the largest law firm in Canada. While the experience was valuable, the environment didn’t lend itself to the hands-on litigation work I most desired. To that end, I accepted my first role as a licensed lawyer with a small firm that focussed on insurance defence work – but more specifically long-term disability claims.  

I gained years of concentrated experience defending claims on behalf of insurers, banks, and employers. I had the pleasure of working with wonderful mentors and colleagues and I am lucky to still consider them friends and respected colleagues in this field all these years later. That experience was invaluable on a professional level but I was not personally inspired by the work of representing corporate insurance and employers. 

In 2012 I made a life defining choice – to “change sides” and I began representing exclusively disabled individuals. For 10 years I worked at one of the largest disability specialist firms in Canada, representing people from coast to coast. I am proud of the work me and my colleagues did, and the positive impact we had on thousands of lives. 

While my journey in law has been defining professionally, it has also shaped me personally. I am grateful to share my life with my superhuman wife, whom I met at law school in Windsor, and our spirited and precocious young son. When not spending time with family and friends, you are likely to either find me golfing, curling, gardening or being a superfan to the Toronto Raptors and Liverpool Football Club. Proven Results

I bring nearly two decades of experience to the table, with the last ten years dedicated exclusively to advocating for individual Plaintiffs. During that time, I recovered millions of dollars on behalf of my clients. More importantly, I helped people at their most vulnerable moment regain dignity and control of their future. 

Prior to working for individual claimants, I spent years defending disability denials and terminations on behalf of insurance companies and employers. While this experience was valuable professionally, it wasn’t personally enriching. 

Because of this, I know what it’s like to be on both sides of the table and I’m not prepared to compromise for what my clients deserve.
